Microsoft Windows Server 2012 – End of Life
Microsoft is preparing to end support for Windows Server 2012 and Windows Server 2012 R2, effective October 10, 2023, which means that these versions of Windows Server will no longer receive security updates, bug fixes, or feature enhancements. Additionally, Microsoft will no longer provide technical support for these versions of Windows Server, which could make it difficult for users to resolve any problems they may encounter.
Preparation for End of Life
If you are currently using Windows Server 2012 or Windows Server 2012 R2, you should begin planning for the end of life and make sure to have an inventory of all your applications and services that rely on these versions of Windows Server. If you are planning to migrate to a new platform, such as Windows Server 2019 or a cloud platform like Azure or AWS, you will need to budget for the costs and timeline of the migration.
