On-site or remote: what each means
On-site
An engineer comes to your building. That is the right call for anything physical: new cabling, a failed switch or firewall, a door controller, a camera that went dark, or a phone system cutover. On-site work is based out of our Marietta headquarters and centers on the metro area above. Camera and network deployments travel nationwide; access-control installs stay in Metro Atlanta.
Remote
An engineer connects to the affected computer or system over the internet, with your permission. Most day-to-day problems — a locked account, email trouble, a printer that won't print, a phone extension that needs changing — are fixed this way, and usually faster than a drive across town. Remote support works anywhere in the country.
Common on-site jobs
- Cabling and network buildsPulling, terminating, labeling, and certifying structured cabling, riser work, and the switches and Wi-Fi it feeds.
- Cameras, doors, and gatesAccess control, video surveillance, license-plate recognition, and gate operations for communities, HOAs, and commercial buildings. Cameras deploy nationwide; doors, gates, and plate-reader gate access stay in Metro Atlanta.
- Phone system cutovers3CX installs and number ports, desk phones on desks, and the business internet the phones depend on.
- Hardware and office movesServers, firewalls, workstations, and printers set up in place, plus moves and new offices where everything has to work on day one.
How response works
Call 770.953.2500 and a real engineer picks up, 8:00–5:00 ET, Monday through Friday, with on-call escalation after hours for urgent problems. Most issues start remotely, because that is the fastest way to see what is wrong. If the fix needs hands on hardware, we schedule an on-site visit, prioritized by how much of your business is affected. Managed clients have their response targets written into their agreement, so there is no guessing.
Beyond Metro Atlanta
We have served Atlanta since 2004, and plenty of businesses here now have staff or offices outside the metro. Managed IT, the help desk, hosted phones, and security monitoring all work the same from anywhere, so a remote office or a home worker in another state gets the same team as the main location. We also deploy cameras and networks at out-of-state sites. Access-control installs stay in Metro Atlanta.
Coverage questions
- What should I have ready before an on-site visit?
- The site address, who will meet the engineer, and how they get in — a badge, a gate code, or a key to the network closet. If something stopped working, note when it started and what changed. That saves a second trip.
- Can you support a business with offices in more than one city?
- Yes. Day-to-day IT, phones, and security monitoring run remotely, so one team can cover every location, and we deploy cameras and networks at sites across the country. Access-control installs stay in Metro Atlanta.
- Do you install access control outside Metro Atlanta?
- No. Access-control installs (doors, readers, and gates) are done by our own crews across Metro Atlanta only. Managed IT, phones, and camera and network deployments are available nationwide.
- Do I have to be a managed client to get on-site help?
- No. Client or not, one job is fine — a cabling project, a camera system, or a phone cutover is often how working relationships start.
- My town is not listed. Do you cover it?
- The cities listed on this page are where most of our on-site work happens. If you are in or around Metro Atlanta, call 770.953.2500 and we will tell you plainly. Outside the metro, we cannot take on access-control installs, but managed IT, phones, and camera and network deployments are available anywhere.
